It has been pointed out to me that some people have actually missed ye olde blog. As surprising as it is to know that someone out there actually likes to hear me ramble on a bit, I must confess it makes me feel a little better. I've gradually slipped into a bit of a funk over the last few years, peaking over the course of these months. Forgive me if I've been remiss in my journaling.
I've lost pace with my reviews, so I'll just make a general statement about what's going on and my goals for now, and I'll pick up the reviews again in the near future. I think it's more important to get something going again on a regular basis, and then worry about the content of the blog.
Um...we started Financial Peace and its been different. We just called the cable co. and asked them to cut us off (keeping Internet of course) but they keep sending us a signal. I think it's their subtle way to try and keep us hooked. The idea was to free up about $100 a month and a large portion of free time. We are adjusting and hopefully more reading and gaming will be involved. Sounds fun to me.
One side effect is that I suspect that I'll be watching some NBA playoffs at my dad's and possibly at Gillum's in town (a great place to watch games). I've taken this year to watching games with people instead of in utter isolation. This is new to me and kind of fun.
UK had a great year but fell short of the brass ring. 35-3 isn't too shabby for my kitty cats. Let's hope they can keep up their newfound winning ways.
Well that's it for now...I'll try to see if I can review something next week. I'll probably blog again on the weekends. Ta ta.

I tend to watch games in isolation because 1) I'm the loner Packer fan in this corner of IL and 2) I get rather loud and expressive at the television which is embarrassing. Hopefully your venture will be met with more success.
Welcome back!
You are brave for taking the plunge and giving up cable. We could never do that because we have too many shows that we enjoy as a family.
Yay! It lives! I have indeed missed your "rambling" and had nearly given up on checking in! Glad you are writing again. As for the cable, we have discovered that Netflix is a nice alternative--only 9.99 a month, you can "rent" movies via the mail, and if you have an internet connection there are a ton of "watch instantly" shows and good stuff. Plus lots of stations post their shows on their webs, so if gaming gets boring...Miss you guys, hope you had a great break! Tiff
